Detailed description
The architectural building, built in 1828-1830, is a cultural heritage of regional significance. The building is located on the historical territory, in the direction of Old Nizhny Novgorod. The house was owned after A.Ya. Paltseva by Varvara Nikolaeva (widow of a famous merchant) and Onisifor Kuznetsov, a philistine. Famous photographers lived in the house, and the Dmitriev M.P. photo pavilion was located there. At the request of the owner, a two-story wing with solid glazing was erected, the idea was implemented for photographic activities, by the way, the appearance has been preserved to this day. The Russian Museum of Photography, which was opened in 1992 and is recognized as a state cultural institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, continues to operate today.
