I.B. Lidval apartment house
Detailed description
The building with a strict classical facade was built in 1836 in four floors according to the design of architect A. H. Pelya. In 1867, an umbrella was placed on a cast-iron pole above the entrance door for the merchant E.V. Laufert. In 1904, F. I. Lidval began rebuilding the house, which at that time belonged to Ida Baltazarovna Lidval's mother. Lidval's project has somewhat changed the overall appearance of the building. More formal facades and medallions were added, a new stone staircase was installed, the interior was renovated, a large showcase was created, and an elevator was installed.
