The house of K.G. Faberge
Detailed description
The house was best known for its connection with the famous Faberge jewelry company: in 1898, Carl Faberge, a hereditary honorary citizen of St. Petersburg and a merchant of the second guild, bought it from Major General Zolotov for 407,000 rubles. Soon after, the house was rebuilt according to the design of Faberge's cousin, architect K.K. Schmidt.
