The main house of the city estate of P.F. Mitkov - A.N. Arbatskaya
Detailed description
The estate was formed in 1829 during the division of the huge residential and industrial estate of the Milyutin family. It was acquired by P.M. Mitkov, the brother of the Decembrist. At the end of the courtyard, behind the old factory of the Milyushin family, there is a house built mainly in the XVIII century: in 1834-1837, the poet's aunt Elizaveta Lvovna Sontsova (Solntseva) lived here, and in 1836 Alexander Sergeevich stayed. It was here that Bolatinsky informed Sergei Pushkin of his son's death.
