The station of the historical station Vorobyovy Gory
Detailed description
The station building was large enough to combine almost all the station buildings, including the stationmaster's living quarters, the stationmaster's office, the telegraph office and the only buffet on the ring line. The front and rear parts of the building are symmetrical in detail, with the exception of the central arched window, which was eliminated due to the location of the landing stage. In 1975, Vorobyovy Gory railway station became the setting for most of the railway scenes in the children's film The Dog and the Locomotive Exchange. The film shows the development of the station and tracks, as well as the hard work that has been done, while heavy freight trains pulled by a TE3 diesel locomotive are constantly passing through the frame. In the 1990s, all track development at the station was removed, leaving only two main tracks. Currently, an overpass with three rings has been built on this site. The consecration of the military temple, after which the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the newly consecrated church.
