The Nizhny Novgorod Diocesan Women's College, built in 1861-1870 by architect I.K. Kostryukov, is an important monument of urban planning and architecture in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod. In the 19th century, the educational institution was one of the centers of women's education in the city. During the Soviet era, the building was transferred to the Officers' Club, and in 2011 it was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church and the Diocesan Women's College settled in it again.
