Stone Mountain

The elevation of Mount Brave, one of the peaks of the Zhiguli Mountains of the Samara region, reaches 300 meters. This ridge stretches for 75 km along the Volga River. The mountain peak is named after the settlement of Brave, which was once located at its foot, but was flooded during the construction of a hydroelectric power station. The eastern slope of the mountain is a natural viewing platform from which you can see the view of the Kuibyshev reservoir, the Zhiguli Mountains, the Zhiguli hydroelectric power station and the city itself. Kamennaya Gora is notable for its natural wealth, including unique species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Book.
