Sokol Cliff

Sokol Cliff is located on the slope of the Bald Mountain of the Zhiguli Mountains. This cliff offers an amazing view of the Volga expanses and Mogutovaya Mountain. The legendary Petrov Stone was located here. Legend has it that Peter the Great visited these places in 1722 and left an inscription on the stone. The stone was not preserved, it fell from a cliff into the Volga. Sokol Cliff is a flat limestone rock. It drops off steeply from the north. You can approach the cliff from the west side. This place is a good viewing platform on the Volga River.
