The Church of Elijah the Prophet

In 1818-1822, a two-story stone church with the thrones of Elijah the Prophet and Paraskeva of Ionia was built. The temple was built with a free-standing bell tower, an apse and a refectory. The main volume of the church is a two-light quadrangle with a light rotunda. During the construction of the building, the main assistance was provided by the priest Simeon Torochkov. His crypt is located in the fence of the temple. The building housed a sports school until 2005. After that, the church became a courtyard of the monastery of Nilov Deserts.
