Residential building of employees of the All-Union Institute of Experimental Medicine
Detailed description
The residential building of the workers of the All-Union Institute of Experimental Medicine was built in 1933-1935 according to the design of architects N.E.Lancere, A.F.Ryumin and O.N.Shilin in the neoclassical style. The building is six storeys high, made of brick with stucco. The facade of the building features drawings of animals: dogs, lizards, frogs, snakes and monkeys. They do not belong to any stylistic trend, but were created in connection with the direct purpose of the building. Beakers, scales and other medical equipment are also used as decorations.
