Detailed description

The Foundry of Zinaida Ivanovna Yusupova (1810-1893), nee Naryshkina, was built in St. Petersburg. The building was designed by architect Harald Bosse, and Ludwig Bonstedt completed the project and supervised the construction. The construction of the two-storey building was carried out in the architectural form of the Italian Renaissance with Baroque elements. The constructed building is completely covered with sandstone from Gatchina and Breslau from Germany. The main entrance is made of the same material as the main portal. The facade is decorated with columns and balustrades. The interior of the palace is also richly decorated, with paintings, sculptures, carpets and even furniture. Many lampshades and medallions are the work of the artist N. Maikov. The library, the portrait hall and the concert hall are especially good.
