In the 70s of the 20th century, the staircase was restored and rebuilt along with the embankment. In 2017, the staircase was completely renovated. The staircase parapets were lined with granite, new lighting, new steps and additional lifts for people with limited mobility were made. The reconstruction lasted a year and a half.
