Vozdvizhensk city Men's College 1820s classicism, architect E.I.Martynov
Detailed description
The building of the Vozdvizhensky College, erected on Ligovsky Prospekt, was built according to a standard design proposed by F. I. Volkov in 1783. It had a small size and a facade of seven axes with rustication on the ground floor. The central axis on which the entrance was located was decorated with a risalite, ending with a pediment in the form of a triangle. The first floor was used for teachers' apartments, and the second for classrooms. Later, another part was added to the building along the canal. On the roof, you can see the boundary between the historical and the new model of structures built in the 60s.
