Alexander Nevsky Church
Detailed description
The history of the church began in 1881. The church was built at the expense of the merchant Evfimiy Kharitonovich Kuchin. This is the first church in Tula built in the Byzantine style. Sayings from the Gospel and the Apostle were inscribed in the lower part of the church. In 1889, a parish school was opened in the church. In 1930, the church was closed, and the twelfth labor school was opened instead. In March 2003, the church was returned to the faithful.
