Detailed description

One of the three existing pedestrian suspension bridges. On one side of the bridge is the Kazan Cathedral, and on the other is the state bank, which houses gold bars guarded by griffins. Since ancient times, griffins have been considered the best keepers of treasures and secret knowledge. With the head of a lion and the wings of an eagle, this beast combines intelligence and strength. Behind the griffins, you can see the bank created by Catherine II to store gold that was once stored in the country. They were protecting the gold. The wings of the griffins and parts of the bridge railings were gilded, which attracted fans of easy money. As a result, by the end of the 19th century, all the gilding was seriously damaged, the grille was removed and sent for restoration. During the renovation work, the fences disappeared without a trace. In January 2017, for the first time in almost 200 years, the famous griffins left the Bank Bridge. It took almost six months to figure out their device. A large amount of money (various) and wish notes were found in the sculpture.
