Residential building of the industrial association Rostovugol
Detailed description
The complex of three buildings was built in the mid-1950s on the site of the Melkonov-Yezekov family home, a well-known merchant family in Rostov-on-Don. After the Great Patriotic War, new buildings were built on the site of the destroyed houses in the area, designed by architect Vladimir Grigor, initially for Rostov-on-Don. However, the partnership provided apartments only in the eastern and western buildings (some of which were transferred to local authorities). The central building housed the Rostov Regional National Committee. Currently, the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District is working here.
