Detailed description
There is no exact date of construction of this structure, but it is believed that this is the first half of the XVIII century. The structures of this time are noted for their special strength, it is practically a mini-fortress, so the walls and foundation were designed to be particularly durable. This building belonged to a wealthy Moscow merchant of the 1st guild, the owner of a cloth factory, Grigory Babkin. The family of this family was quite famous, as it had long determined the development of cloth production in the Moscow region. It is a one-storey stone building of white color. The chambers are located on the sides of the main building, later an entrance hall and three more vaulted chambers were added to the east side of the house. Therefore, this building consists of three different parts. A wooden mezzanine with a pediment was erected on the middle part of the building. and on the roof there are two attic windows with double-hung windows. The facade is decorated with patterned architraves, corner columns and cornice. It is now a residential building.
