Detailed description
This building was built in the middle of the eighteenth century and is an object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of federal significance. From 1778 to 1780, the building fell into disrepair, and it was demolished, and a new one was erected in its place. This building occupies an entire block. Four three-storey towers stand at the corners of the Kriegskommissariat quadrangle. The towers are decorated with stone carvings. A panel with armature depicting weapons adorns the main facade of the administrative building. The construction of the Kriegskommissariat was conceived as a fortress, a castle with towers and at the same time an elegant public building. At the moment, this building is one of the most significant houses in Moscow at the end of the 18th century. From the moment it was built in the 18th century to the present day, the building belongs to the armed forces.
