Moon Cats Street
Detailed description
This quirky and informal attraction was born as a children's prank. Around 2007, someone wrote this romantic inscription on the wall of a small alley between 77 Kamenostrovsky Street and 3 Malaya Nevka Embankment. A few years later, the inscription was rewritten with the name of a non-existent street and a ghostly cat's face in large green decorative letters. Later, someone glued a sign to it that looked like a real St. Petersburg plaque with the name of the street. Now it gapes on the smooth renovated wall of the building on the embankment.
