Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Karinkinsky Old Believer Community
Detailed description
In 1902, architect Peter Vasilyevich Kharko built the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Karinkinsky Old Believer community. Local Old Believers could not build their churches at that time, however, thanks to the care of rich and important merchants, the Ryabushinsky Old Believers, the building was built. In 1935, the church was closed, and the building was transferred "at the request of the People's Commissariat of Land of the USSR for All-Union correspondence courses." In the 90s of the last century, the Moscow Children's Fairy-tale Theater settled there, which is the family business of Honored Artists of Russia Irina Petrovna and Mikhail Nikolaevich Milenin. Today, this building is the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Karinkinsky Old Believer community.
