Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul
Detailed description
The first chapel on this site was erected about four centuries ago. Over the years, it has been rebuilt and reconstructed. In 1930, the church was robbed, valuables were taken, and later it was completely closed. In the post-war 1960s, the Peter and Paul Cathedral was used as a warehouse. It was only in the mid-1970s that the temple began to be restored. Since 1991, the temple building has been placed under state protection as a monument of history and culture of the Tula region. In 2011, the grand opening of the temple took place.
