Later it was renamed the Military School of Western Languages, and in 1942 -the College of Foreign Languages of the Red Army. Not only European, but also Oriental languages were taught here, and in 1994 the Military University of the Ministry of Defense was established to train military economists, lawyers, linguists, commanders and other specialists. Since 2003, civilians have had the opportunity to study at this university on an extra-budgetary basis.
