Architect's House
Detailed description
The architect's house was built in the forties of the XIX century. The owner of the building was Prince P. I. Gagarin. In 1864, the mansion was acquired by A. A. Polovtsev, a former senator and chairman of the Russian Historical Society. The building was rebuilt during his lifetime. An outbuilding was added, the facade of the house from the courtyard was changed, and the interior was changed. After the revolution, the house was nationalized. Now the Union of Architects is located here.
