The second machine building of the Alekseevskaya water lifting station
Detailed description
In the past, the Alekseevskaya water pump was included in the Mytishchi water supply system, the first system that provided Moscow with drinking water. Some of the buildings of the complex have survived to this day, and now it is considered an object of cultural heritage and an industrial monument. The administrative building, which includes an office and a residential apartment, was built of red brick on two floors. Red brick was the most common material for industrial buildings at that time. Architect Goeppner combined the features of two architectural styles: Russian and eclectic, which combined various elements of different styles and eras. The walls are built without the use of plaster over brick in an open masonry. The facade is decorated with tiles, terracotta tiles and patterns of hewn bricks of different colors. Today, the building is still listed as the Vodopribor plant.
