Burmistrova 's Mansion
Detailed description
The house was built in 1885, owned by a representative of the merchant dynasties. But after the 1917 revolution, the mansion was expropriated, and a museum and a school began to be located here. The mansion has survived fires several times. In 1934, the building was transferred to the Gorky Museum. The lost facade elements have been restored, including a terrace with carved wooden columns and a canopy over the stairs, a roof parapet, decorative vases, and wrought-iron gates. Facade details and stucco layers have been preserved and restored.
