Industrial Institute
Detailed description
It was originally called Warsaw Technical University, but in 1915 it was evacuated to Moscow, and a year later it was transferred to Nizhny Novgorod. The main building of Gorky Technical University was built on the slope of Nizhny Novgorod between 1931 and 1936 according to the designs of architects I. F. Neiman and D. N. Chechulin. In 1950, the Industrial Institute was renamed the Polytechnic Institute. Today it is the Alekseev National State Technical University. It is registered as a monument of cultural heritage.
