The mansion of N.N. Teplov
Detailed description
The mansion of N. N. Teplov was built in 1870 by architect P.P. Mizhuev. The original building was designed in the Baroque style. It was decorated with risalites with an open balcony. When Nikolai Nikolaevich Teplov bought the house, the building was rebuilt in an eclectic style. The building was decorated with stucco, murals, and openwork railings. Sculpting appeared on the walls. In 1901, the mansion was sold to the German merchant Radau. Since that time, his monogram has been hanging on the facade. During the Soviet era, communal apartments were located in the building. Today, the former mansion is a rectangular structure with two floors. The walls were made with lush decorative elements. White stone masonry with patterned patterns stands out. The window frames are framed with architraves and sandricks. The parts of the building are separated by a jagged cornice.
