Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vladivostok
Detailed description
In 1861-1862, the first wooden church was built. In 1876, construction began on a new stone Assumption Cathedral, which was consecrated only in 1889 and subsequently became a cathedral. The cathedral was closed in 1932 and demolished in 1938. In 1997, the house that previously belonged to the cathedral was transferred to the community of believers. This building was restored and consecrated by the Great Rite in 2006 as the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Vladimir the Equal of the Apostles.
