The theatrical wing of the Alekseev estate
Detailed description
The two–story brick house, built in the 17th century, was bought in the second half of the 19th century by S.A. Alekseev, the father of Konstantin Sergeevich Alekseev, who is known throughout the theatrical world under the pseudonym Stanislavsky. The second floor of the house was converted into a theater, on the stage of which actors from the Alekseevsky Theater Circle staged performances. After the revolution, the house housed a cinema. Today, the building houses the "Music Town".
