Women's Gymnasium
Detailed description
By the beginning of the 20th century, the estate of the merchant Atamanov V. Ya. was located here. It was a two-story stone house, a service and a bathhouse. A little later, the building was leased by the private 2nd-class women's college of A.E. Rumyantseva, which later became a private gymnasium. By the mid-1930s, the building belonged to Turgenev School No. 2. At that time, the building was redeveloped, and two more floors are being completed.
Thirty years later, the building became part of the educational building of the Sverdlovsk State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1985, the building has been occupied by the Theater Institute.
