Detailed description
The building on the corner of Skobelevskaya and Taganrog Streets, built in 1913, was acquired by the V.I. Asmolov Joint-stock company. In 1920, an eye clinic was located in the building of the former tobacco factory. In the 1950s, the building was given over to an eye clinic. Since 1920, an eye hospital has been located in the building of the former tobacco factory. In the second half of the 1950s, the building was reconstructed and transferred to the city hospital. By 1960, a memorial plaque was erected with the inscription "An outstanding ophthalmologist, Professor K.H. Orlov, lived and worked here in 1920-1952." On October 9, 1998, the tobacco factory building was placed under state protection as an important cultural heritage site in the Rostov region.
