Greenhouse building
Detailed description
A collection of rare plants was collected in the central hall of the greenhouse. Adjacent to the hall was the main part of the greenhouse and a two-story wing attached to the west and east sides. These rooms were furnished with mahogany furniture and were particularly comfortable. The south side of the greenhouse was glazed.Along the northern facade there were rooms for the valet, as well as a hairdresser. The facade was decorated with cast-iron helmets, they were cast at the St. Petersburg Pimenov Foundry. The interior of the greenhouse was painted by B. Medici. The rooms resembled those of a palace. Cast-iron umbrellas were installed over each porch of the building. Currently, the Greenhouse building is used as a glass museum.
