Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Zemstvo Hospital, surgical building

Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Zemstvo Hospital is the largest medical institution in the Nizhny Novgorod region in pre-revolutionary times. The construction of the surgical building began in 1890-98. Initially, a one-story brick outpatient clinic building was erected. In 1897-99, a two-story brick building of the surgical building itself was added to it. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was reconstructed according to the design of architect N.A. Frolich. It is a U-shaped two-storey red brick building with two entrances. The main facade is decorated with a risalite and stained glass windows.
