Suthat Thepwararam Temple
Detailed description
The temple, famous for its giant red swing that stands at its entrance, is one of the oldest and most impressive temples in Bangkok. The construction of the temple was commissioned by King Rama I (1782-1809) to shelter a 13th-century bronze image of Buddha transported by boat from Sukhothai, but it was finally completed during the reign of King Rama III (1824-1851).
