Detailed description
The mansion was built in 1898 by a famous architect. He combined strict and clear forms with the Greek classical style in the design of building facades. The two-storey mansion was designed in the neo-Greek style. The owner of this house was Yakov Alexandrovich Polyakov. In Soviet times, the building housed the Moscow Institute. In 1934, the place of the institute was occupied by the Polish Embassy, and during the Great Patriotic War by the British military mission. Today, the mansion houses the residence of the Mexican Ambassador to Russia.
