The one-story mansion in Khlebny Lane was built in 1815 in the Empire style. It is decorated with Empire-style stucco and a low portico with columns. It is not known who was its first owner, but it is known that in 1860 the mansion was acquired by the famous composer Alexei Verstovsky. For the last two years of his life, Verstovsky lived in a mansion with his wife, former actress Nadezhda Vasilyevna. After nationalization, the mansion was transferred to the Foreign Affairs Committee; from 1935 to 1941, the building housed the residence of the German military, and since 1944 it has been occupied by the Embassy of Iceland; in 2011-2013, the embassy building was renovated and the interior restored.
