Apartment house of A.P. Lebedev
Detailed description
This is the apartment building of A. P. Lebedev. One of the most memorable buildings on Lebedeva is Sadovaya-Karetnaya Street. The house was built in 1905 according to the design of the Moscow architect S. M. Goncharov. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Goncharov was one of the most popular Moscow architects. The Art Nouveau houses that were fashionable at the time were distinguished by the Gothic style of their facades. These include pediments with turrets at the corners, third-floor window frames imitating Gothic lace, and entrances with carved doors. The facade is decorated with an expressive entrance group, including pointed Gothic arches and unusual columns with mosaics.
