K.B. Siegel Mechanical Plant
Detailed description
On the site of the factory building, where there were mechanical workshops and residential apartments. Initially, the construction site was purchased in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and it housed vegetable gardens and vacant lots. Kitner used high-quality brick in the construction: he believed that an open masonry structure for weather conditions is more expressive and durable than plaster. He used terracotta and ceramic granite to decorate the facades. Two bronze bears holding metal tree trunks with lanterns are installed at the entrance to the office. By order of the factory, the casting was made at the F. K. San Galli artistic iron casting plant. The bears, made according to the model of the sculptor A. L., Ober, were created according to his own model.
