Udine: The Venetian pearl on the mainland
From 80€ per person
Description
Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 5 hours
* Udine, a small town that fell under Venice at the end of the Middle Ages, and still retains its "Venetian soul". During our walk, we will admire Piazza Matteotti, the "living room of Udine" with its beautiful picturesque temple, numerous cafes and Piazza Libert, the most beautiful Venetian square on the mainland.
We will discover the little secrets of the city, for example, where the masks on the facade of the city hall came from. Let's look at the frescoes of Tiepolo (the most prominent representative of the Venetian Baroque in painting) in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunciata. And finally, we will climb castle hill, where we will be greeted by a gilded angel on the bell tower of the tower, the symbol of the city.
Udine is a relatively small, calm city, unlike bustling Rome, trendy Milan or cheerful and reckless Naples, but it certainly has its own charm.
