Detailed description

The apartment building, which was built in 1901-1903 in the eclectic style, designed by architects Shishko and Vincent. In its appearance there are two bay windows, which are located on the facade of the building. The center of attention is the large number of arched openings in the center of the building, which are large in size. The elegant color scheme resembles the Lavra's church house, but it uses Shishko's style, which was used in a much larger work. The monastery management highly appreciated the quality of the architectural solution, excellent layout and high quality of work, cost-effectiveness and speed of execution. He was the first in St. Petersburg to use a porous cement-lime mortar with greater strength, more durable in the conditions of the North, which ensures rapid drying of the walls and their natural ventilation.
