The building of the Sverdlovsk City Council of People 's Deputies

The building was built in 1917. The building is designed in a grand manner with sculptural perfection of columns and pilasters. The entrance in the arched niche is decorated with monumental graffiti panels on the theme "Greeting Victory". In the center of the building, a tower with a spire rises above the entrance. The architecture is majestic. The color of the walls, the expressive layout and the large scale of the building create the impression that this is the main administrative building of the city. The architectural composition of the town hall follows the traditions of urban planning in factory towns. In the rectangular layout of the city, divided by a pond and a river, the tallest buildings were located on the main roads on both sides of the dam.
