NKVD Hospital
Detailed description
There used to be a monastery on the site of the NKVD hospital, which gave the lane its name. Unfortunately, nothing remains of the monastery today. It is known that the bodies of unknown people, wanderers, homeless people, etc. were buried in it. The Church of the Ascension, which used to be a monastery cathedral, was demolished in 1931. Instead, the Polyclinic of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs was immediately erected, and now the polyclinic of the FSB of the Russian Federation is located there.
