The apartment house of Ernest Karlovich Lipgart
Detailed description
The six-storey mansion with an elegant corner turret was built in 1906 for Ernest Karlovich Lipgart, a member of the Imperial Academy of Arts. The architecture of the house harmoniously intertwines the forms and elements of Art Nouveau and Baroque. The facade of the house is richly decorated with stucco elements with various images, the windows are framed by porticos with ornaments. The interior of the building, in contrast to the festive lace-and-light facade, is an exquisite restraint, but not devoid of splendor. The house was inhabited by artists, and today the house is also a residential building.
