The house of the nobleman Yu.I. Poplavsky
Detailed description
The estate in Samara, a nobleman and landowner Poplavsky was built in 1899. The architect has prepared a project for a house similar to the previous estate of a landowner in Buzuluk district. The entrance to the courtyard is decorated with a wooden arch and a gate with a gable roof. The porch and gate were significantly damaged during the construction of the new building.
This wooden two-storey mansion is one of the examples of superimposing decorations of the Russian architectural style on a classical-shaped building.
In a symmetrical building with peaked tents ending in tall, finely traced metal spires with weathervanes, a complex roof profile, curly carvings on the window frames and cornices, with beautiful gates and a gate, one can see the trend in architecture of the Neo-Greek style.
