A.V. Demidov's mansion
Detailed description
The mansion was built in 1911-1912 for Alexander Vasilyevich Demidov, a merchant and flax manufacturer. He was a descendant of the Demidov family of Vyaznikovsky merchant-manufacturers, who was born in the village of Mstera in the Vyaznikovsky district and owns a factory there. In 1906, he became the first chairman of the All-Russian Flax Industry Society, founded in Moscow. The combination of different styles, expressive and exquisitely combined with each other, give the mansion an exceptional character and allow us to confidently call it a diamond of Moscow architecture of the early 20th century.
