Buturlin 's Estate
Detailed description
The landmark is a two-storey building located on the ground floor. The window openings are framed by platbands with shelves. In the central part of the facade there is a base of a four-column portico. There is also a bas-relief with two female figures in a medallion with torches. The ground floor is blocked by water with arc formwork. The estate of D. P. Buturlin (Korfa house) was built in the XVIII—XIX centuries. The walls of the halls were decorated with stucco in the form of theatrical masks. In 1758, the estate was owned by General-in-Chief N. A. Korf. Since 1789, Count Buturlin became the owner of the estate. In addition to the manor, there were parks, greenhouses and greenhouses in the courtyard. It also had its own library. In 1812, the manor and the library burned down in a fire and was looted. After the revolution, the building housed a weaving factory. At the moment, the estate and outbuildings have the status of a cultural heritage site of federal significance.
