Alexander II House
Detailed description
Everyone knows the building with columns on Mendeleevskaya Street in Tula. At the end of the XVIII - middle of the XIX century, a city guardhouse stood on this site. It burned down in a fire in 1834. The burnt-out building was dismantled and a library building was built on its foundation. In 1910-1912, the library building was rebuilt again. Now it has been named the House of Educational Institutions named after Emperor Alexander II. Project. This building was designed by Tula architect V.N.Sirotkin. Now the Tula Samovars Museum is located in this building.
