The Tula Kremlin is the pearl of Tula and an important historical monument. Tula has a rich history of arming and defending the southern approaches to Moscow. In 1520, a stone kremlin was built, which became a defensive structure. The Kremlin has survived sieges, wars, and destruction, but it has never missed an enemy. The Tula Kremlin has an architecture that combines Russian traditions and European elements. The Kremlin is home to the Assumption Cathedral and the Epiphany Cathedral, as well as shopping malls and the city's first power plant.
