Tula Kremlin
Detailed description
Tula Kremlin is an architectural monument of the XVI century, the oldest building in the city and the region. In plan, the fortress has the shape of a regular rectangle with arched niches. The Kremlin has 9 towers, 4 of which are passageways. They have the following names: Spasskaya Tower, Odoyevsky Gate Tower, Nikitskaya Tower, Ivanovsky Gate Tower, Ivanovskaya Tower, Cellar Tower, Vodyanoi Gate Tower, Ugolnaya Tower and Pyatnitsky Gate Tower. There are two cathedrals inside the Kremlin: the Assumption Cathedral and the Epiphany Cathedral.
