Residential house of I.P. Volkov
Detailed description
The house was built in 1889. Initially, the house belonged to an unknown owner, but in the mid-1990s it became the property of Leonid Grigorievich Adler, the "main musician of the city." It was he who decorated the facade with reliefs of dolls and cupids in accordance with his taste. An outbuilding was attached to the courtyard. The owner himself lived on the second floor, and the first floor was rented out. After the death of the landlord, his heirs continued the music trade in Rostov, but the house was resold. The new owner, the merchant Volkov, lived in it until it was confiscated by the Soviet authorities.
